Markus 5:27-29 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind
Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, "If
only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well."
Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she
felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have
works, is dead.
For
every individual, there comes a time when he or she has to
decide who they want to serve. It is not enough to say: "I
have faith." There comes a time when there are no blessings,
a time in which God wants us to examine our ways. It is a
time in which God requires each one of us to live in the way
which is pleasing to HIM.
God is ready to bless, to heal, to perform miracles, to strengthen
that which is weak, and to save. He is ready to bless and
to keep each person from evil. However, what is stopping Him
from doing that? It is the holding onto the things of this
world which you have not yet made your mind up about, because
you are forgetting the things of the holy way during the week,
and are busy with things that God wants you to lay aside and,
also, does not want that waste His precious time with. Indifference,
worldliness, and not praying are hindrances to HIM.
- Now is the time is to say to yourself "That's enough.
I'm going to serve a God who has made a covenant with me."
• How long do you want to tolerate this evil; accepting
the arrows of disbelief?
• How long will you remain silent and not fight?
• How long will you let yourself be provoked?
• How long do you still want to run away?Stay right
there and fight! Then you will have joy and victory.
• God is willing to give you revival.
• Get up, lay aside everything that hinders you and
touch the LORD!
- Now it is time to get up spiritually, to get out of our
comfort zones and seek God's face.
- Now it is time to touch HIM, so that strength and power
to overcome can flow into our lives.
The sick woman had made her mind up, she did everything that
a person could do. She hoped and put her trust in the field
of medicine. She visited many doctors, each one tried something
different, but none of them could help her throughout all
the years. She paid out again and again, until she ended up
being poor.
She did not give up! She heard about Jesus, about what He
had done and what He could do. She thought: "Jesus is
my answer, Jesus is the one who can help me, He has been sent
by God." She believed that: "If I can touch Him,
I will be healed." However, that was not so easy for
this weak woman. She had to fight her way to Jesus, and when
she touched Him, she was healed.
• What helped her? Her faith in Jesus.
• How did she receive her healing? She touched Him,
and that was the work of faith. rw
