Some theologians say that God only wrote something with His finger three
times in all. Once, when He wrote the Commandments on stone, another time,
on the wall of the palace of king Belshazzar, and the last time was when
Jesus wrote in the sand.
In my opinion, I do not think that was very much; however, it is possible
to see more of the traces which God left behind if you are really interested.
There is one thing which we want to look at closely, that being, the fingerprint
of God.
Everywhere where God has taken part in doing something, you can see the
fingerprint of God - whether we look at the perfection of His creation,
above in heaven or below on earth. He has left nothing to coincidence, it
is all exactly the way He wants it to be. Jesus Christ is this Creator.
Col. 1:15
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every
creature: Why?
16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that
are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions,
or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
There are almost 6 billion people on this earth, and we know that the fingerprint
of each one is different. Although none of us from the 6 billion are able
to examine it for ourselves, we believe it because science tells us that
is the way it is. Every individual can be identified as according to this
fingerprint. Here is an example: Let’s say that you were in a small
pizzeria, you put your bag down and drink out of your glass. You have left
fingerprints on it, although they are not visible to the eye. You leave
the glass there and go home. Meanwhile, a fight takes place in the pizzeria
which you had just been at and no one comes out alive; however, the culprit
manages to escape. The detectives look for traces and discover your fingerprints
on your glass. Immediately they are examined, in order to see who they belong
to.
If the fingerprints are recorded in a file, it is possible for the department
for murder to immediately find out who you are, and in just a moment, they
can find out your address and telephone number. The reason being that the
fingerprint on the glass is evidence that this particular person was present.
The creation is the glass, the fingerprint is the evidence that a creator
was there. The Word of God confirms that the fingerprints of the creation
belong to Jesus Christ. There are no other fingerprints to be found from
another God. God is perfect. HE will never get smaller or bigger, weaker
or stronger.
He is omniscient, omnipresent, unchangeable, and omnipotent. If He builds
something, then it will remain there for as long as He wants it to. When
He does something, who is able to correct Him? In all His works of creation,
we see His fingerprint. When God gave Noah the measurements for the ark,
it was constructed in such a way that it would fulfill its purpose. The
flood and the storm came, and along with them death too; however, the boat
survived, for the fingerprint of God was upon the boat. When God commanded
Moses to build the tabernacle, and along with it the items of furniture
too, God gave Moses precise instructions of how He wanted this holy place
and its items to be. It was the most perfect building construction ever
upon this earth, for the architect was God Himself. His people Israel could
see the fingerprint of God upon it.
The Bible describes the Christian church of the first Century. God performed
signs and wonders through those who believed. Whoever doubts should not
expect a miracle to take place. When miracles take place you can see the
fingerprint of God; however, this is not the case nowadays in most of the
preaching which is going on!!! If a gospel is preached which keeps the people
bound in darkness, then the fingerprint of a human being is visible and
most definitely that also of the devil. God’s fingerprint in your
life will give you peace, blessing and fellowship with Him; after all, this
is the purpose for which He has made us, so that we can have a relationship
with Him. Obey Acts 2:38! rw
