Look what God is doing in Africa

Benin (Adams)
  Twenty-one received the Holy Ghost at the national conference.
  Five new preachers were licensed.

Burkina Faso (Adams)
  Four were baptized in Jesus name.

 Democratic Republic of Congo (Grosbach)
  New city, new pastor, and new church: UPC Airways flew a home missionary into the city of Kamina.
  He established the first UPC there.
  The pastor prayed for the city the entire time they were flying.
   As they reached the airstrip the pastor began to sing and rejoice.

Equatorial Guinea (Mua)
  Three baptized in Jesus name and two received the Holy Ghost.
  God has supplied a place of worship and money to pay the rent for six months.

Gabon (Adams)
  Seven were baptized in Jesus name.
  Four received the Holy Ghost. 

Ghana (Poitras & Sisco)
  Sixty-four received the Holy Ghost at the Central region convention.
  Twenty-one children have received the Holy Ghost at one local church in the last two months.

Ivory Coast (Adams)
   Bible school classes have resumed with nineteen new students. 

Kenya (Crumpacker & Droke)
  Contact has been made with an apostolic group of 100 preachers interested in joining the UPCI.
  Ten of the pastors have expressed interest in attending our Bible school.
  Twenty-three received the Holy Ghost at a recent conference.

Liberia (Stewart)
  Seven received the Holy Ghost and five were baptized at a displaced person’s camp.
   Five received the Holy Ghost and seven were baptized at a revival.

Madagascar (C. Richardson)
  487 received the Holy Ghost at a recent conference.
  150 of these were children.
   Crowds peaked at 7,000.

Malawi (Tolstad & Simoneaux)
  Four children received the Holy Ghost in a local Sunday school class.
  During a meeting held to deal with a serious church problem, the Holy Ghost moved in, the problem was solved easily, resulting in unity and fresh revival taking place.

Nigeria (Nickerson)
  Brother David Bernard has just completed a wonderful Oneness Conference at a Baptist college. 380 were in attendance. Brother Bernard was also able to speak about the Holy Ghost. A contact may lead to six other major Baptist colleges in the country.
  727 ministers were present at three Oneness seminars.
  Fifty-seven of these were baptized in Jesus name.
  600 preachers attended four leadership development seminars and many received the Holy Ghost and miracles took place.
   Forty received the Holy Ghost in one evening service.
  Two new churches have been established.
   A new state (district) is being formed for the UPCI in Nigeria.
  Fourteen ministers will take license with us.

Sierra Leone (Conteh)
  Ninety-four received the Holy Ghost at a Last Hour program. 

South Africa (Smith, Flowers, Louw, & Davis)
  143 received the Holy Ghost in three weeks.
  Twenty-two of these were in a prison.
  Eighty-six backsliders prayed back through to the Holy Ghost.

Togo (Adams)
  Nine pastors and local workers, in a remote region of central Togo, completed Level A – Portable Bible Schools.

Uganda (Royer)
  Forty-five has requested baptism in the Lira region.
  Two pastors were sentenced to jail for leaving the fellowship of another church organization.
  God has intervened and the charges have been cancelled.
  Fifty-eight enrolled in a recent Purpose Institute.
  Eight pastors were baptized in Jesus name.
  We are sharing God’s Word through lessons and Bible verse memorization at our primary school.
   The school is gaining access to parents of various ethnic and religious backgrounds.

Zambia (Abernathy)
  2,871 attended Big Sunday program.
  Twenty-two received the Holy Ghost.
  Twenty-seven were baptized in Jesus name.
  On another Sunday one pastor baptized fifty-one, and another pastor baptized thirteen.

Zimbabwe (Simoneaux)
  Twenty-five were baptized in a district service.
