Africa, Part 4 (other regions will follow)

African Region –
1. In Zambia it was reported by Brother J. M., (as given to Missionary G. A. according to his letter to General director dated February 13, 2003) northern region pastor reports: “In the month of October, 2002 I shared the gospel with A Pastor Evanristo S., who is pastor of House of Prayer church (Presbyter in this group). After I shared the gospel with him, I baptized him in Jesus’ name. On January 2, 2003, I shared the message of salvation with a pastor, Blessings B. of a Trinitarian church. I baptized him in Jesus’ name on this day. After returning from this seminar, I am supposed to baptize his church in the Name of Jesus. This former Trinitarian pastor said he has about 6 churches and he said he intends them to become a part of the UPC”.

Brother A. further reports on May 9, 2003 that a pastor from a city called Nakonde came to Lusaka to meet with them. He was originally from a Trinitarian group but had received a revelation on the truth of one God and Jesus name baptism through study of his Bible. He was forced to leave his group. He had heard of the UCP and what we preached. Actually he had also listened to the radio program we conducted last term called “The Voice that Thunders”. A presbyter had maintained contact with him while the Missionary A. were on deputation, and came to Lusaka when Brother A. was there and sat down to talk with him. After the discussions with him they began to rejoice how God had directed this man. He told them how that after coming to this revelation he baptized a pastor in Jesus name and then the pastor baptized him. He now has 10 works which he wants to bring into the UPC of Zambia.

On May 9, 2003 Brother Gary A. reports: ”A pastor from a city called Nakonde came to Lusaka to meet with us. He was originally from a Trinitarian group but had received a revelation on the truth of one God and Jesus name baptism through study of his Bible. He was forced to leave his fellowship when he shared his revelation with those whom he fellowshipped. He had heard of UPC and what we preached. Actually he had also listened to the radio program we conducted last term called “The Voice that Thunders”. “He told us how that after coming to this revelation, he baptized a pastor in Jesus Name and then the pastor baptized him. He now has 10 works, which he want to bring into the UPCZ."

2. January 22, 2003 Bother R. families reported that in CAMEROON via the African Revival News that a French speaking pastor has been baptized along with fourteen of his members. They further report that three new pastors and congregations have joined the UPC of Cameroon in the last couple of months.
