Jesus says: I am the door...
"Jesus says, I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved..." John 10,9
There are many doors through which we go every day. The majority of them we do not even tend to notice anymore. One door brings us into a department store, another one leads us into a bank. What would happen if there were no more doors?

Thieves - and there are enough of them, including spiritual ones - would come and steal everything that is valuable. Doors are very important. There are millions of doors just alone in our city, Mannheim, Germany - doors of houses, apartments and car doors etc. However,
there is only one that is THE DOOR.

This door is still open. Whoever goes through it must do it with all that he has got. Whoever does not go through this door will lose his eternal life! As a consequence, his entire earthly life would have been for nothing, whether he had enjoyed a good life or not. You may ask yourself, "How do I get through this door? Is it possible for me to go through? "Yes, it is possible, for with Jesus of Nazareth nothing is impossible.

If you put your complete trust in HIM, then you will be able to do that what HE requires.

The message of the Christians in the first century enabled many people to go through this door at that time. Peter showed us the way through the door which leads us into the kingdom of God.

He said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost " (Acts 2,38). You will only obtain the eternal Life when you go through this door. God's plan for us human beings is so simple that the "wise ones of the world" disregard it. (1 Corinthians 1, 25-27)

Do not let anything hinder you from sincerely repenting before God, which will thus enable you to go through these doors. Look for a church which baptizes in water in the name of Jesus, in order for your sins to be washed away. Then the baptism of the Holy Spirit will be promised to you.

It is worth paying attention to the things that will suddenly stand in your way when you decide to go to our worship services. Friends will suddenly turn up, the phone will keep ringing, people will expect you to do all kinds of things. All at once, things will happen which you did not expect to try to catch your attention and to prevent you from going through this door. Each one of us has time on our hands to do what we want with it. We are the ones who still have the opportunity to decide what we want to do with this time because it is the time of grace. Eternity is long, you cannot turn back the wheel of time there to catch up on things that you missed out on or neglected. "Today is the day of salvation" wrote the apostle.

If there is anyone who had not yet been saved, it is imperative that you make sure that you get saved today! It concerns YOUR SALVATION! Jesus took the time out to go on the cross to bear your sins. How much time do you give to HIM to do his will? Thousands of people in many nations today have the opportunity to hear the whole gospel, and are being converted and are going through "THE DOOR". Will you be standing outside when Jesus comes back again? (rw)
