The Infallible Word

By Pastor Raymond Wey

Only a few things are absolutely perfect, one of these is the Word of God. "The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether." Psalm 19,8-10.

The inspired Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are often described as being "The law of the LORD". God is Spirit (John 4,24), therefore, He communicates to people on a spiritual level. Jesus says: "My words are spirit and life". His Word is spirit, therefore, we can hear God's Word when it comes to us by our spirit. A person must be willing to acknowledge God's Word as being a guideline and principles by which to go by, only then can it be a blessing. All power, authority, wisdom and intellect of God are contained within God's Word.

Many people want freedom and are seeking this freedom in their independence from others. The way which really leads to freedom is revealed to us by the Word of God. Who the Son - Jesus Christ- makes free is truly free indeed. Free from what?

1 ) Free from the world and its spirit
2 ) Free from death and hell
3 ) Free from tradition and the teachings of man
4 ) Free from sin and fear

George Washington, a famous politician and one of the men who fought for independence said this about the Word of God: "It is impossible to rule this world right without God and the Bible". Another politician, Abraham Lincoln, said the following about the Bible: "I believe that the Bible is the best gift of God to mankind". The Word of God is capable of giving direction and advice, help and comfort, promise and blessing to every individual. Have you already read from your Bible today? Even you will find answers in there if you open up your heart at the same time.
