MAKE PROBLEMS FOR THE DEVIL!

By Pastor Raymond Wey

James 2,19-2O Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest
well; the devils also believe, snd tremble. But wilt thou know,
O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Often we meet people who confess that they believe in one God, and this is good. But then they say they do not have to do anything in order to receive salvation. For example, they do not need to read the Bible, nor attend worship Services and Bible Studies, and neither do they want to occupy themselves with thoughts about God and their future. James writes that it is good to believe that there is one God, but this is not enough for a person to receive forgiveness, redemption or eternal life, James continues with the following argument that the devils also believe in one God and tremble as a result because they are awaiting the punishment of God due to their evil deeds. The fact that they believe this will not help them though.

Alot of things could be written to give understanding about the reality of a devil (spirit being). However, we do not want to make the same mistake which many made during the Middle Ages; whereby they pursued fantasy and superstition rather than the actual statements of the Bible.

The Bible, God's Word, does not portray the devil as being a creature with horse's feet, but rather as being a fallen angel which has lead mankind further away from God ever since Adam's fall. It describes him as being the invisible ruler of this world, the destroyer, a liar, a murderer, a rebel, and who unknown to the people, is the driving force behind the destruction of whole nations. He influences everything which makes itself available to him; including, in the sphere of the mass media, the press, films, television, politics, fashion, even religions and churches to destroy people and their faith in God.

People should thank God that He is soon going to make a quick end with the devil and his subordinates - an eternal judgment of total darkness in a lake of fire, where there is no way out for them. To remind the devils of this causes them to shake with great fear. It is high time to make trouble for them.

How can I do that you may ask? Begin now to seriously ask Jesus Christ in prayer for direction and continue to do so!

Satan claims authority over the world
Luke 4,6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Satan rules over the sinner's
Acts 26,18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins...

Make problems for him!
Do the will of God, ask Jesus for guidance everyday, read your Bible daily. Believe what is written there and live accordingly, Stay far away from sin, bad company, and anything that seems to be evil. God will bless and strengthen you spiritually.

Thank God daily for your life and His love for you. Rejoice In the Lord at all times and give Him thanks; whether the sun shines or whether it is raining, in the good times as well as in the bad times. Speak, heed and love the truth of His Word above everything.
