On the Threshold of Revival

Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Main focus:
God’s plans contain certain times in which He works and accomplishes His work. All the prophecies of God will be fulfilled!

*****************

God speaks through the prophet Joel, saying that He will pour out His Spirit upon the whole earth, upon all people. This would take place at a particular time as determined by Him. In Acts 1:8, Jesus speaks to His disciples: Go to Jerusalem, there you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

I do not believe that the disciples understood the great significance of this baptism of the Spirit.

It was the people in Jerusalem who cried out, “Crucify him!” They were the ones who on that day should have chosen in favour of Christ, but instead, they fought against him; and now as they went to Jerusalem, it had been over a month since they had buried Jesus and there were many rumours about Him going around. The majority of the people thought that the chapter about Jesus had ended and they would not hear the words of Jesus anymore. However, this was soon to change, for Jesus had made a promise and He has a plan for Jerusalem; this being, to destroy the works of evil and to set even more people free. Jesus also has a plan for this nation, for this continent. God has not forgotten Europe! Neither has He forgotten His promises, for they are: YES and AMEN! This means: So it will be, exactly as He has predetermined it. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The disciples of Jesus knew that they were on the threshold, standing at the doorway of the greatest revival which Jerusalem would ever experience – the outpouring of the Holy Spirit over this city, and this is also precisely what took place. Throughout the centuries, the full gospel of Jesus was carried out into the whole world and people repented and washed their sins away in the water baptism in Jesus’ name and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

For centuries and up until the present day, the gospel has been so contaminated with human doctrines and laws that almost no-one is able to clearly hear the whole truth from it anymore. However, God is not yet finished with the rulers of this world and His Church.

1. God promised us many years ago through different prophecies, the things which He is going to do in Europe, and also especially in Germany.

2. Germany will experience a great outpouring of His Spirit. In the year 1978, during a church gathering in Wiesbaden, “I will pour my Spirit out over this nation, rivers and rivers, upon the streets, the market places, everywhere, and then I will come back!”

Several years later, in August 1981, we had a conference in Switzerland in Interlaken and God spoke again and added some more to it, “I will pour out my Spirit in the whole of Europe and I will turn over every stone.” God will move everything again, both big and small stones. He will move them, so that they must make a decision and will be able to do so. They will understand what it is all about.

Now, 30 years later, we have not yet seen this promise go into fulfillment. Instead of a great revival, we experience deep valleys, great spiritual battles, dark clouds, pain, sorrow and many other disappointments.

Why is that? The reason is that we are standing on the threshold of revival. Why? Because like the disciples of Jesus, we are now standing in front of the doorway of revival. Satan and his rulers are fighting like crazy in order to hinder this, however, they will never be able to hinder the work of God. They were unable to prevent the victory at the cross at that time and they will not be able to stop the promises of God in the time determined by God. After all, they are not so clever as Jesus the Lord! rw
